Bridal Headband Tutorial

Hello, Everyone. It’s Nikki here and I am going to show you how to make a Bridal Headband today.

We just got some gorgeous new Beaded Bridal Appliques in stock so we thought it was time to show you how to make something fabulous with them đŸ™‚ !

Check these out!

Here is what you are going to need:

Bridal Beaded Applique

– 20″ of 3/8″  Frosted Glitter Elastic in desired color

– 5″ Black 1/2″ Skinny Headband  Elastic

Felt Circle to match your elastic

– Scissors

– Hot glue gun warmed up and ready to go

First you want to cut your elastic to correct size, 17-18″ fits most adults. You also want to cut two smaller pieces about 1 -1/2″ each.

You also want to trim around your applique so that you have a nice clean look.

Next, you want to place a drop of glue on the bottom backside of your elastic headband and then glue your 1/2″ skinny headband elastic to the bottom of the headband. Repeat for the other side.

Then take your small pieces of elastic and glue them over the unfinished edge where the two elastics meet on each side to give your headband a clean and finished look.

Make sure to add a drop of glue on the top and bottom so that your elastic holds in place.

Trim any excess elastic.

The back of your headband should look like this…

(Note only one side is finished in the photo above)

Next you want to determine where you would like your applique positioned.

I find it easiest to put the headband on and look in the mirror to make sure that you like the placement. Once your find the correct spot, hold the spot with your finger and get ready to glue your applique in place by applying a couple of thin strips of glue to the headband and then glue your applique in place.

To secure your applique in place, glue a felt circle to the back of the applique.

Let the glue dry and then you are ready to wear your beautiful new creation!

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!
